2024 NSW Woman of the Year Awards

Finalist for NSW Regional Woman of the Year

The NSW Regional Woman of the Year recognises the accomplishments of an exceptional woman living in regional NSW who inspires and advances their community,  and contributes to the fabric of their local area.

Dr. Skye Charry, Tsuaka Hiraoka, Nicole Kim OAM, Theresa Mitchell, and Rochelle Olsen were the finalists being recognised as finalists in the Regional Women of the Year Awards in NSW!

These incredible women have not only made a significant impact in their respective fields but have also contributed immensely to the communities they serve. Their dedication, passion, and hard work are truly inspiring.

Rochelle Olsen was recognised for her dedication and support of grieving rural women through the Baby Loss Mentor.

She is incredibly proud to be named amongst these exceptional women and inspired by the positive change they have brought to our regional communities.

2023 Agrifutures Australia Rural Womens Award

NSW/ACT Finalist

Rochelle was nominated as a finalist in the 2023 Agrifutures Australia Rural Women’s Award. Rochelle was recognised for her work with Regional, Rural and remote women who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. Her Bush Blossums™ Community & Events project was highlighted as a standout. Rochelle is breaking down barriers and being an advocate for women and families who have not always had a voice. The concept of the bottom draw box and industry education she has developed was also commended.

Over the past 21 years, the Award has gained a significant profile, and is recognised as a program of influence among parliamentarians, industry, media and Award alumni. Each State and Territory Winner receives a $15,000 Westpac grant for their project, business or program, access to professional development opportunities and alumni networks.

Although she was not the state winner, Rochelle walked away with 2 grants - from NSW Farmers and Country Women’s Association NSW, who also commended her highly for her commitment to rural women.

Rochelle has won a Brave Award at the prestigious Altitude Awards that were held at a gala ball in Sydney on Friday, 8th December.

Rochelle was a finalist in 2 categories of the 2023 Altitude Awards.
