Bush Blossums™ Mentoring
where hope and healing intertwine
My name is Rochelle Olsen, aka The Baby Loss Mentor, and I'm here to help. Unlike the one size fits all grief management approach, our journey begins with me finding out exactly where you’re at.
We start with The Next Step Session, delivered as a Zoom call or a face-to-face meet up, as a chance to find out exactly where you’re at in your journey.
The Next Step Session is like purchasing your own grief toolbox, with the basics; now you’ll be ready to fill the toolbox with tools that work for you as we meander through the 6 months of mentoring work.
Losing a baby is one of life's most devastating experiences and can leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected and lost. Thankfully you don't have to go through it alone. I work with mothers who have experienced baby loss, helping them find peace and rebuild their connection with themselves, their partners, families, and community. Unlike the one size fits all grief management approach, our journey revolves around exactly where you’re at. It’s transformative and it is tailored specifically to you, starting with
You don’t have to have it all figured out to move forward…
If we are a good fit and ready to move forward, I am able to then welcome you into the Bush Blossums™ Mentoring Program. This is a transformative 6-month journey designed to support and guide women who have experienced the profound pain of pregnancy or infant loss.
Throughout this program I offer a personalised approach to help you navigate the challenges of life after loss and empower you to create a fulfilling and meaningful future.
you just need to take the next step

Why do I call my clients ‘Blossums’?
Bush Blossums™
I have defined the clients I see as primarily Bush Blossums. They are baby loss mums who are largely located in Regional, Rural and Remote Australia aka ‘The Bush’.
My own definition of a ‘Blossum’ is:
BLOSSUM
(/ˈblɒs(ə)m/)
Noun: An incredible woman who has experienced pregnancy or infant loss. Otherwise known as a Baby LOSS mUM.

What’s included in the program
Your Next Step session
The Next Step is where you will embark on your journey of self-discovery; finding out exactly who you are post-loss. In this session, we will identify where you are and where you’d like to be.
one-on-one mentoring sessions
There will be nine 1:1 mentoring sessions included in the program. This is designed to help you check in and to navigate the challenges of life after loss. Over 3 transformative months, we'll work together using a proven framework to equip you with the tools you need to create the life you deserve.
MONTHLY
Each month, alongside your 1:1 mentoring session, you will receive summary videos as well as supportive resources. There are guest speakers & practitioners who will be sharing their knowledge & experiences throughout the program.
There are activities, worksheets and processes that we will discuss and that you can complete. Nothing is compulsory and it can all be done at your own pace. Know that doing the work where you can will help to use our time together as effectively as possible.
COMMUNICATION
A VIP group just for you will be set up in an online platform. You can message as many times as you like each day during your program. I will check daily Monday-Friday and respond to you. This will be open for two weeks after the program is finished (but I’m never far away and can always be contacted! - I don’t just disappear when our time together ends x)
FLEXIBLE HYBRID MENTORING
It s important to me that your postcode does not dictate the support you can get after baby loss. The program provides a safe and compassionate space for you to explore your unique journey via in-person sessions (in Dubbo area) or via virtual sessions anywhere in Australia.
read my story
Have we met yet? I’m Rochelle
On the 17th of July 2016, my husband Robert and I lost our first-born son Edward. At just 7 hours old, Edward gained his wings and my life to this day has never been the same.
The passing of Edward split my life in two. At this difficult time, I could not comprehend nor navigate an existence without my son. I lost everything; my will to survive, my identity, myself.
Along with losing our Edward, I have suffered two first-trimester miscarriages. I know firsthand the devastation encompassed in loss, the isolation, the confusion. The detrimental changes that would impact us all.
I wish with all my heart that no one would ever have to endure the pain and loss that I experienced with Edward. However, if they do, I promise to strive relentlessly to ensure they receive better support, guidance, and understanding than I ever did. I have created this journey of healing, empathy, and hope for all the baby loss mothers who deserve to be seen, heard, and supported.

Most definitely. During the initial stages of grief, it is difficult for mums to see a future for themselves. The life they had envisioned for their family has been altered forever. Referrals are most welcome; I can consult with you or your loved one directly to gently guide and hold space. I offer The Next Step to grieving mums with no lock in contract or obligation to then engage in the Blossom Mentoring Program. Sometimes The Next Step is enough to know that there is help available and to open grieving mums up to the notion of life after loss.
